Organisation description

TIS.PT is an independent consultancy dedicated to developing knowledge and providing advice on policy, planning and design of transport and mobility related systems. TIS stands for Transport, Innovation and Systems, and that corresponds to the mission of the company, and to its expertise practised and continuously developed since its foundation in 1992. Projects developed since 1992 have provided a wealth of experience, covering virtually all forms of transportation and including issues such as: Policy, regulation, contracting, Quality and performance evaluation, Commercial strategy, Concept and dimensioning, Evaluation, Network analysis and circulation plans.
TIS.PT has currently a staff of about 45 people, the vast majority of the has post-graduate qualifications, mostly in Transport, with a rich variety of academic backgrounds, including engineers, economists, sociologists, geographers, experts in legal affairs, public administration and international relations. By January 2003, our progress towards the quality excellence was recognised with the ISO 9001:2000 certification.

Contribution to the project

TIS-PT will contribute to the collection of data concerning legislation, national regulation and best practices.
TIS-PT will be also providing the project with a work on the evaluation methods used for the transferability analysis of best practices and regulation from one country to another. TIS-PT will be the work-package leader in the production of the policy recommendations.
