Organisation description

The Umwelt-Bildungs-Zentrum Steiermark-UBZ (Styrian Centre of Environmental Education) was created 2001 on initiative of the Styrian Government and is a non profit making education association in the field of environment and sustainability. Within this association the managing director continues the proceedings of the ARGE Umwelterziehung, which was established 1983. Clients of UBZ profit from the flexible and interdisciplinary team (current staff member: 13) offering years of international and national experience.
As well as research the main aim of the organisation is to bring research knowledge to the clients by using new educational and teaching methods. The Styrian Centre of Environmental Education collaborates widely with local, national and international governmental and non-govermental organisations.

Contribution to the project

UBZ will contribute to the collection of data concerning legislation, national regulation, user needs, and best practices in terms of technical solutions, technical innovation and services.
